The time finally came where we got to go on a backpacking trip with the legendary David Gray, and his (now ours!) buddy Travis. We had been itching to get back down to Red River Gorge to do a PROPER backpacking trip, and hit the sights and sounds of Gray's arch, Hanson's point, the Sheltowee Trace, and other picturesque places in Daniel Boone National Forest. Additionally, we hit up the Buffalo Trace distillery on the way down, to grab some trip "essentials" that would create a true Kentucky experience. We spend two nights in the gorge with David and Travis, battling sub-freezing temperatures and constant rain, yet still managing to have a great time - we love Red River Gorge!
