Aseesinder’s professional journey began in law, where she established herself as a lawyer before her passion for mental health prompted a significant career transition. She pursued a Master’s in Applied Psychology from the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences, followed by an MSc in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London. Her early clinical experience was shaped by her work at Fortis Healthcare in India, where she gained valuable insights into patient care and the healthcare system. Currently, Aseesinder works as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, where she conducts client assessments and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans. In addition, she serves as a Peer Navigator at Mind UK, offering personalized support to individuals navigating mental health challenges. Aseesinder is also a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion, having worked with the Committee of Racial Equity and Diversity to develop inclusivity guidelines for higher education institutions. By combining her legal background with her mental health expertise, she brings a unique, holistic approach to her work. Her commitment to reducing mental health stigma, alongside her ability to operate in both clinical and support settings, demonstrates her dedication to improving mental health outcomes and empowering individuals through compassionate, informed care.
