DJI engaged with Halo Robotics to test the new U10 Gas Detection payload using TDLAS (laser-based detection) to detect methane gas. The sensor uses laser scanning to pinpoint the location of a gas leak [and uniquely provides gas CONCENTRATION PPM READINGS!!]. Methane Gas is invisible to the naked eye, and so a green laser pointer pinpoints the gas detection incident, and this can be visually documented with the Zenmuse Z30 high zoom camera from a very safe distance. All gas detection information can be noted on the map in real time, so you can map the concentration of gas distribution over an entire area or facility.
