Out with minimal gear on a solo wild camping overnighter in one of my favorite camp spots. Temperatures during the day were hovering 0 c but at night it dropped to minus 4c . I only had a wool blanket and a bivi bag, which meant i kept a small fire going all night for extra warmth. I woke up to the first snow fall this year which did not stay for long. By the time I was done fetching water and prepping wood for breakfast cooking, the remaining snow was mostly gone after a brief rain spell. Great to wake up to the woodland snow blanket anyways. Winter camping season is approaching. I Love it. This time of the year is when loggers seem to be most busy in the forests here. You can hear sometimes their logging machines in the back ground noise. Not ideal but not much I can do about it.
