During the area, patrolling police reached Burari and noticed one person, later identified as Rakesh in a state of nervousness. Police immediately approached him and questioned him. He accepted the crime and said he had murdered his sister-in-law. It was subsequently disclosed that he along with Virender who is the husband of the deceased and Govind had hatched a conspiracy to kill her. In view of this, a police team registered a case. During interrogation, accused Virender disclosed that during the marriage ceremony, the family of his wife had given a cheque of Rs 5 lakh as a marriage gift. The cheque bounced due to insufficient funds. In the meantime, Pinky arrived at Burari and she asked Rakesh to get out of his house.
