The National Botanical Garden, located at the base of Mount Phulchowki (2,715 meters), sits 1,515 meters above sea level in Godavari, at the southeastern corner of Kathmandu Valley. Established in 1962, the garden covers 82 hectares and attracts over 190,000 visitors each year, including nature lovers, researchers, and students. Surrounded by evergreen forests, it features a variety of plants, such as ornamental plants, rock plants, roses, trees, shrubs, lilies, ferns, medicinal plants, native species, aquatic plants, cacti, and orchids. The garden plays a key role in research, conservation, education, and public display, with each plant labeled with photos and descriptions for an educational experience. Temperatures range from -5°C to 20°C in winter and 20°C to 30°C in summer.
