Title of the presentation: Making Spiking Neural Networks Work Description of the presentation: Jason is an Assistant Professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (https://engineering.ucsc.edu/departme...) of the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) (https://engineering.ucsc.edu/). He is the Principal Investigator of the UCSC Neuromorphic Computing Group (https://ncg.ucsc.edu/). In this talk, he presented the work developed by his research group, starting with an overview of Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) and Deep Learning, moving into the main applications of SNNs, and finishing with a presentation of his latest research in Recurrent Language Models and MatMul-Free Language.
