He comes from a wealthy family; his father, Fred Trump, was a successful real estate developer. Donald was the fourth of five children. Growing up, he attended military school, and later studied at Fordham University before transferring to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a degree in economics in 1968. After finishing college, Trump joined his father’s real estate business. He focused on large projects in New York, like skyscrapers, hotels, and casinos, becoming known for his bold style and self-promotion. His famous project was the Trump Tower, a tall building in Manhattan. In 2004, Trump gained more fame by hosting the reality TV show *The Apprentice*, where he became known for the phrase “You’re fired!” This show made him a household name across the country. In 2016, Trump ran for president of the United States as a Republican and won, defeating Hillary Clinton. He served as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021. His presidency was marked by controversial policies, such as immigration reforms and trade deals. He also faced two impeachments, though he was acquitted both times. After leaving office, Trump remained influential in politics and expressed interest in running for president again. Despite the controversies around him, he has a strong base of supporters who appreciate his straightforward style and promises to "Make America Great Again."
