Finally A GOOD travel bowl that is INTENDED as a shave bowl! After going through around 4-5 slow feed dog bowls I am thrilled YAQI is coming out with a better alternative. Some of the things I noticed over other "not intended for shaving" foldable bowls: 1) The encapsulated rim helps protect it while traveling 2) Smaller Profile on the plastic ring - but it appears (can't verify) to be thicker 3) Thicker Silicone walls and bottom help with stability and keep its shape while lathering 4) Bowl doesn't easily flip over with heavy brush (tested with my heaviest brush) 5) The bottom design on first use didn't have the same brush wear that the slow feed dog bowls had 6) CHEAPER (3.00$...) than alternatives by a good amount. I would LOVE to see Yaqi produce this in a LARGE format - not for travel, but for the person who wants a bigger bowl at home that can be put away (ie ME). I would also LOVE to see this in black? I thought it was odd there wasn't a black option. It has a larger diameter bottom AND top than my Phoenix Shaving Travel Scuttle (which has always been barely too small for me) which I really appreciate, and I didn't get as much lather flowing over the sides. I know, I know, I'm way too excited about a bowl that brush loaders would say is superfluous - but this is something I have been wanting for A LONG time for travel. I also showed/spotlighted the stand that was sent - which works as well. I do wish they included a space for brushes, and also made it large enough to fit the Chippendale Handle (Rex also doesn't fit) - but it's a quality item for a fair price.
