Riding a Triumph Bonneville T120 through Sherwood Forest.

Riding my Triumph Bonneville to Sherwood Forest, home to the legendary Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Another early morning start saw me stopping briefly to take in an amazing sunrise over the moors, but as is the way in the Peak District, I became quickly engulfed in a thick fog while shooting some footage. Thankfully my Bonneville T120 was there to blast us through the murk and back into sunny skies for an amazing day's motorcycling. In modern times, Sherwood Forest is a much smaller version of an older and much grander landscape that covered swaths of Derbyshire. Although it's not possible to ride a motorcycle through the modern Sherwood Forest, there are places such as Clumber Park, which was part of the original Sherwood Forest that you can ride through, and in my opinion it's very much worth visiting if you're in the area. Close by are the magnificent remains of Bolsover Castle, a truly breathtaking 17th Century ruin that stands upon the grounds of former castles and forts going back as far as the 12th Century. It's not hard to imagine Robin Hood and his men battling evil Sheriff's and Barons in the grounds of the estate!
