Cookout Summer Shootout Double Header: INEX Legend Car Racing Experience

Hey everyone, Chad here with Midlife Classic Cars. This past week was the Charlotte Cookout Rounds 8 and 9, and despite a rain delay, we had a doubleheader on Tuesday. I had a tough practice session, struggling with tire pressure and setup issues, which made the car loose throughout. During practice, I encountered engine issues related to clutchless shifting, causing the car to go into limp mode. Despite our best efforts, including adjustments to the brakes and a new throttle body and ECU from INEX, the problem persisted into the races on Tuesday. In qualifying, the car felt better, but limp mode struck again on my last lap. We sourced a new throttle body and ECU, but the issue remained. In the first race, I had power issues halfway through and had to pull off. The second race was similar; despite some improvement, the car cut out again. Josh Williams and his team diagnosed a bad fuel pump. This video includes highlights from my races, avoiding wrecks, and battling power issues. I’m also trying a new camera angle for better footage. Despite the challenges, I learned a lot and made some great connections in the racing community, including the amazing team at INEX.
