Last Sunday Vidas and I went on a concert trip to a village in the northern Lithuania called Paįstrys. There the Church of Care of Blessed Virgin Mary has 9 stop pneumatic action organ built by Emil Martin from Riga in 1912. The short recital was an opening event of the music competition dedicated to Lithuanian composer Juozas Gudavičius (1873-1939). On the program - patriotic music by Lithuanian composers - J. Naujalis, M.K. Čiurlionis, J. Gudavičius and Ukrainian composer M. Lysenko. Thanks to Cultural Center in Paįstrys for invitation and to the local organist Dalia Garbačiauskienė for friendship!
