Mask making and painting demonstration - Commedia dell’Arte - Pantalone

This video is a partial mask-making and painting demonstration of a classroom Commedia dell'Arte mask of stock character, "Pantalone". Please note - I had already constructed the majority of Pantalone's features prior to recording. This mask includes the addition of feathers for moustache and eyebrows. To see a mask started from the paper base - to completion, check out my Arlecchino demonstration coming soon. To create your own mask you will need the following materials; - Approximately 50gm "Paper Magiclay" - not a paid promotion - paper mask - scissors - paint colours (I've used burnt sienna, burnt umber, tan) - paint brushes - water - feathers (I've used natural coloured) OR you could also use hair - and a strong adhesive of your choosing - I have used superglue but do not recommend for the classroom.
