The judge presiding over the Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz's death penalty sentencing phase flatly rejected an attempt by Cruz's attorneys to get a mistrial based on a comment from the gallery during proceedings. While video of the shooting was being played for jurors, someone in the gallery yelled "turn it off" and was removed from the courtroom.
