Here's a really really fun new composition on the fiddle from my friend Maja Kjær Jacobsen! She's one of the best Danish fiddlers and used to play a lot of Québécois music as well. This tune, "Flat Tire", is on her new album with her new band, Maja Kjær si Orkester. She wrote it after a 10 hour car ride in Sweden with a car that sounded like it was falling apart, hoping it was just a flat tire (it wasn't!). On the album, Maja plays this with another Danish fiddler, Signe Kierkgaard, who I got to jam with at the Tønder Festival and who is also an excellent fiddler.
