I didn't perform the starter test because when I got it to crank, that solved that concern. the ground cable is located on the driver side engine mount connected to the chasis frame right behind the driverside wheel well. remove the triangle trim piece, and it's right there. tucked up under the side of the frame, facing the passenger side. once I replaced the strap, I also replaced the high-pressure sensor. the high pressure sensor is located right below the intake manifold. you can access it by removing the air box and the big massive harness of wires underneath the intake or by taking off the intake the 3 series starts up and runs, and it has a few more codes I'll fix later I recommend BMW Tools software and a really good scanner. if you have any questions, let me know.
