This was the first paludarium that I attempted making using the drylock technique. I started by making a triangular pump box in the background to g8ve easy access to my pump and heater. then I foamed in the back and side with spray foam. To get that rough craggy limestone like texture I used the pinch and pull method of carving. then I used at least 5 different layers to achieve the look that I wanted. Then I used pond filter foam to make the base and put exoterras eco stratum down as my soil layer. This acted as a giant filter for the tank and helps keep the water extra clear. The initial build took somewhere around 20 or so hours and the cleaning and revamp I did back in December took an additional 10 hours to complete.
