Winter is over. Many fishermen are starting to plan their fishing weeks for salmon in Norway. Laerdal is one of the most beautiful rivers in Norway, also known as the Queen of Rivers. The gin clear river is surrounded by astonishing mountains in a nature environment that can take your breath away. I can't wait to come back in the summer and fish this magical river again, which truly have found a place in my heart. This fishing video is a preview to one of the beats that I fish each year. The name probably comes from the fact that the Norwegian King Harald fished in the river from the time he was 14 years old and both the King and Queen Sonja have been regular guests for most of the years. The Laerdal is crowned “Queen of Rivers” possibly by its association to King Harald V of Norway, who refers to the river as his second queen.
