Add OEM Remote Start - Ford Explorers & Interceptor Utilities

In this video, we add OEM (made by Ford) remote start hardware to a 2016 Ford Explorer (Police Interceptor Utility). Interceptor Utilities were especially unlikely to come equipped with remote start from the factory, but the upgrade process is the same on non-police Explorers. The main difference will be the fob that you use since Explorers use the more modern flip-key or passive entry fobs while PIUs use the simpler 3-button fobs. Many people, including myself, prefer to add OEM accessories and upgrades to their vehicles when available rather than aftermarket systems that may or may not be reliable in the long run or reduce resale value of the vehicle. There was very little information online about how to add Ford OEM remote start features to these Explorers/PIUs, so this video showcases that it is fairly easy and about the same price as many aftermarket solutions.
