This biking adventure is breathtaking. It has waterfront views and historical sights along this 18 mile Mount Vernon Trail just across the Potomac River from Washington DC. Although you are never far from a main road, you don’t notice as you ride on boardwalks and the paved trail through parks and forests before you start the climb to Mount Vernon. You can ride right up to the main gate and spend some time at the home of George Washington, first President of the United States. This video is one of many on my travel vlog.
