Hi!!!!!! The upload is late this week...i know! between work and just trying to take a break to breathe i had 0 time to get this up but here we are. You all know I'm a slave to one setting powder and one only and that is the Laura Mercier Translucent setting powder. I usually find there is always something just a bit off with the new ones I try. Either they don't last very long or they leave me looking super dry and chalky under the eyes but I'm always down to test out a new formula! Onesize (a new brand by Patrick Starrr) just launched their new Ultimate Setting Powder and since he is the king of baking i wanted to give it a try. Is this truly the formula to end all? First, this only comes in 2 shades: dark & translucent. Translucent is of course for lighter skin tones while dark is for deeper tones. I love a really bright under eye, specifically one with a yellow undertone. Since this powder doesn't have a shade between translucent & dark, I mixed the 2 shades. Translucent I think would be a bit too light for me and dark I feel like would undo all my brightening I had done with my concealers. I also tried the powder puff as well (sold separately). I typically use a damp sponge to apply my setting powder, a trick i learned years ago to avoid cakey looking under eyes. My first impression of this powder was good! I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I also never use a powder that has a brown tone to it so i was worried it would darken my makeup under my eyes but it didn't.
