4 Best Known Wild Swimming Spots in Glenbrook Gorge - Glenbrook - 4K

Glenbrook Gorge is just 15 minutes from Penrith and has some of the best Wild Swimming locations in the Blue Mountains, you don't have to travel to the top of the mountains to find amazing spots to swim. In this video, we show you 4 of the best known and easiest to get to, stunning locations to go Wild Swimming along Glenbrook Gorge! #1 - Jellybean Pool - By far the easiest to get to with 2 carparks and a VERY short walk, but, can also be the busiest in peak season, very popular with families. Takes less than 5 minutes from the car. #2 - The Blue Pool - 2nd Easiest to get to, again, 2 carparks, easy walking track, short walk in and plenty of space to spread out. Tends to be deeper than Jellybean Pool, not always as busy as Jellybean Pool. Takes less than 10 minutes from the car. #3 - Glenbrook Beach - Possibly the most "challenging" to get to, a well defined, rough track but no signage at all. Can be stunning when water levels are up, on the two visits we did to film this, it was very low, but still looking good, so, we show you two stunning alternates right near the beach that are easy to get to. Takes around 20-25 minutes to walk in, some scrambling required. #4 - The Duck Hole - The longest walk in at around 2.5-2.7kms, a well defined track, but again, no signage and there are a number of tracks in the area that you need to know where to turn left or right etc. Use a good mapping app that uses OSM (Open Street Maps) as the track is shown on there. Both sides of the Duck Hole have beach areas and it is quite deep here. That is just 4 of the BEST known Wild Swimming Spots along Glenbrook Beach, exploring up and down the gorge will find you secluded, private spots to wild swim so you don't have to worry about crowds. As with any wild swimming spots, ALWAYS check the depth and water for rocks and snags before diving or jumping in. Just because it was clear last time, a flood may have changed conditions and you don't know that. People HAVE been killed in the gorge by not checking before hand. Please, take a few minutes to check. The water is not always going to be this clear and this colour, especially after rain, we swam in the middle of winter when there had been no rain for months so the locations looked their best. You will see brown clouds where I walked in the water, this is the silt that has settled since we last had rain.
