Enduro heaven? YT's new Decoy SN e-bike versus the best enduro tracks in South Wales

YT claims the Decoy SN is the best enduro bike it has ever made. A bold claim from a company that builds the EDR-winning Capra. The twist here being that the Decoy SN is an e-bike, albeit one that's designed to feel supernatural, rather than synthetic. To that end it comes with the lightweight Fazua Ride 60 drive system, engineered to give a more honest power delivery than the bulky, noisy, high torque, full power motors on the market. Yet it still puts out up to 60Nm of torque and 350w of power, with the Nitro mode pumping that up to 450w for 12 seconds. The Decoy SN uses the same high modulus carbon frame on all three models in the range, with 170mm travel up front and 160mm at the back. To enhance the agility, it's uses a mullet configuration with a 29in wheel at the front and a 27.5in wheel at the back. YT has also gone all out with the specification to make sure it can handle proper enduro riding, with reinforced casing tyres, powerful four-piston brakes, and even a coil shock on the top Core 4 model. And it's this model that we took on a whistle-stop tour of South Wales's best enduro spots. With five bars of battery, and five locations to tick off, we had our work cut out.
