But with our Roadstershop chassis on hand, LSX sitting in the showroom, and the bright orange Chevelle hanging out in the garage, we're ready to start our twin turbo muscle car build! Andrew kicks off the action by putting together the final bits and pieces of the Roadstershop chassis and begins fitting up our Chevy Performance LSX. With the 6 speed transmission hooked up, he can use the hoist to drop it right into place. It wouldn't be a true muscle car build though without one or two hiccups along the way. The customer decided to switch up his transmission preferences after we had ordered our chassis, which means the transmission mount we have isn't going to bolt in correctly. We still found a way to make what we had work so we can mock up the body of this SS Chevelle; and with the motor bolted down, Khalel gets to work stripping down the body of this pristine muscle car. Every piece of interior gets plucked out before we roll it back over to the lift to unbolt the body from the stock chassis. We're able to leave most of our drivetrain intact in the old chassis and pull off the stripped down body of our Chevelle. Tim works his magic making a new custom firewall for the car, giving the engine bay a clean, smooth backdrop for our LSX. Tim also brakes out his cutting wheel to chop away at the transmission tunnel to be able to get our new 6 speed to clear the body and our Chevelle to sit flush on the Roadstershop chassis. With the body now sitting pretty with the LSX and new chassis, we'll be able to fabricate a new transmission tunnel, put our front end back together and start mocking up our piping to run our twin turbo mirror image Garrett set up!
