Empty pick-ups have a bouncy ride, some might say harsh ! So we were kindly recommended to look at G shackles or some call them comfort shackles. They suggest that these offer a much smoother ride on or off road as the shackles allow free movement of the axle in a vertical manner and therefore providing a more cushioned comfortable ride. The shackles are made from heavy duty steel with 3 points of articulation as opposed to 2 points for normal shackles. Ours came from Aliexpress - there are a multitude to offerings ( and ebay etc) they are vehicle specific, so watch out - but the main issue we found is price - the same photo is everywhere but prices differ wildly for what looks the same thing - so be careful who you buy from. Simple job, can be done on the driveway with basic tools.
