They sent me the pattern for this Fairywren which is just the most beautiful little bird! I've been really loving felt craft lately and if you've been wanting to get into making felt crafts, felt plushies, or felt ornaments, with a touch of embroidery on the side, this project is a great starting point! The instructions were clear, and the project is simple enough to jump into but offers a few tricky bits so you feel challenged! My name is Danielle, but you can call me by my childhood nickname, Dano! I am 30 years old and I live in the prairies of Canada. I am an anthropologist by education, a regulator by trade, and a hobbyist at heart. I grew up loving all forms of arts & crafts & performance. As an adult, I was looking for an outlet to encourage myself to stay connected to my creativity and so, in October of 2019, Dano Does Things was born. I love trying new things and learning new skills, and my hope with this channel is that I can encourage and inspired others to embrace their creativity. I dabble in a little bit of everything – watercolor painting, acrylic painting, cross stitch, embroidery, gouache, paper craft – though lately I have been finding a lot of joy in doing fibre crafts. Needle felting and felt crafts are my current obsession, but I’m always looking for new things to do.
