The Timberland 6 Inch Premium Classic Boot is classic for a reason. In 1973 the Abington Boot Company first made the boot and called it The Timberland. By 1978 it was so popular that it caused the company to change its name to match the name of its most popular boot! This is my third pair of Timbs since the mid-1980s. I bought this particular boot in 2014. It has a thermally injected rubber sole, attached to the uppers while still molten. People look down their noses at this but I have never had a Timberland sole separate from the uppers.
