Cherry Audio | Polymode | Full Presets Preview Cherry Audio is excited to announce the newest addition to their product line, the Polymode Synthesizer virtual instrument. Inspired by the 70s-era Polymoog synthesizer, one of the world’s first polyphonic synthesizers, Polymode is a singularly unique instrument. Powerful as it was, the original instrument had an often confounding user interface and a poor reliability record. Cherry Audio's new Polymode Synthesizer simplifies the user interface while greatly expanding on the strengths of the original instrument, and modern computer technology completely eliminates the original instrument’s notorious maintenance issues. Polymode Synthesizer precisely models the Polymoog’s unique oscillator ranks and multiple parallel filter configuration, while immensely expanding the modulation capabilities sorely lacking in the original. Additionally, Polymode Synthesizer adds gorgeous dimensional ensemble, phaser, echo, and reverb effects for even lusher soundscapes. Polymode is inspired by the groundbreaking Moog Polymoog synthesizer. One of the world’s first polyphonic synthesizers, its unique multiple parallel filter implementation and mod routings give it a sound like no other synth. And though the original Polymoog sounded incredible, it could be challenging to operate and was prone to breakdowns. Cherry Audio’s Polymode sidesteps all of the drawbacks of the original instrument and massively expands its capabilities. With a streamlined user interface and immense modulation capabilities, Polymode sets a new standard for animated, sonically evolving string, pad, and choral tones.
