This BRAND NEW Fig Tree I Developed Is INSANELY Good!

In this video, I share a brand new fig variety I developed as part of my fig tree breeding project! Three years ago, I began a longterm project breeding figs to develop new high quality fig trees from seed. This new variety of fig tree is the second fig seedling of the lot to ripen its crop, and its fruit blew me away with how insanely good it is! You simply must see this to believe it! This fig tree is a cross between UCR 271-1 Saleeb (father tree) and Del Sen Jaume Gran (mother tree). Del Sen Jaume Gran is one of my favorite figs, but it struggles in rain and is very late to ripen. The goal of this cross was to develop a new fig with the outstanding size and taste of Del Sen Jaume Gran, but as an earlier season fig with more rain resistance. This fig appears to be successful, because it has the same incredible flavor, but with a shorter "hang time" to ripening.
