There are other options though such as closed in shelters, a cabin, water only tent sites and walk in tent sites. Here there are short trails that are easy and wide, beautiful woods and a river, but the river is not easy or even accessible. Also, there is a historic museum and the historic site of the original San Felipe, Texas. What we love about Stephen F. Austin State Park: 1. Sewer 2. Large spacious sites 3. Wildlife 4. Pull throughs! 5. Nice trails What we didn't love about Stephen F. Austin State Park: 1. Verizon service was slow sometimes 2. Only 30 amp available here but we manage fine on that even though 50 amp works best Next Stop: Sea Rim State Park, Sabine Pass, Texas
