They are returning to Kerala at the end of their trip . James stops the fog in a village in Tamil Nadu while the tourists sleep. James then enters a nearby house. Later he starts acting under the name Sundaram as a member of the family living in that house. James Sundaram, a Malayali, behaves like a Tamil. And he speaks in Tamil like a local. This confuses not only those who traveled with him, but also the local villagers. Eventually people realize that he reflects the character, mannerisms and language of Sundaram, who disappeared two years ago. James knows some things about the villagers that only Sundarathu knew. James/Sundaram is confused by the sudden changes in the town like the construction of an unbuilt temple. James's family and friends plan to take him to Kerala and get him psychiatric treatment. But after waking up, James regains his true identity. And he leaves with the desire to return home with them. Ultimately, is Sundaram's character a dream or a reality? There is confusion.
