In short, we have an immortal Viking family that starts w/ Erik the Red and his 4 kids. The kids being Stein, Leif, Thor and Frey. Frey has stepped away from her family and all of the shady things they do, to live life for herself. However, her involvement with Owen Jabari, a journalist, has put them both in the family's line of sight. But there HAS to be something very iffy about Owen as he may be doing a piece on Frey and Frey only, but he is asking very peculiar questions that could point to an ulterior motive. Are Erik and the brothers right to be suspicious?
