𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞. That’s why it’s so important for Tlingit & Haida to work with the First Nations in Canada to protect transboundary rivers. Partners from transboundary territories that span the United States-British Columbia border, as well as federal and non-governmental organization partners took a trip to the Taku Inlet - near the mouth of the transboundary Taku River - our region’s largest salmon producing river. The trip was a chance to get a firsthand look what the waterways at stake when it comes to mining in British Columbia.
