GUANTANAMERA - TRIBUTE TO ST. LUCIA

"Guantanamera" is a patriotic song, which uses a poem by the Cuban poet José Martí for the lyrics. The official writing credits have been given to Joseíto Fernández, who popularized the song in 1929. In 1966, a version by American group the Sandpipers became an international hit. The song has been covered or by Pete Seeger, Celia Cruz and Wyclef Jean. My favourite recording is by Julio Iglesias. I heard it played on multiple occasions while I was on vacation in St.Lucia and fell in love with it. Here is my personal version attached to photos and videos taken around Marigold Bay The backing track (bass and drums) was put together on IReal Pro. I play the other instruments. The main instruments used are a Nord Electro 3 keyboard and Akai EWI 4000S wind synth. I used Patchman for the voices. A 1Manband recording. Hope you like it!
