The two main dimensions used for analysis are undoubtedly dates and locations. Values over time are great for knowing if our strategic goals are being achieved. Locations are key for so many things, either from an understanding of where our potential customers are from or how our various stores may be performing, perhaps also all over time. There are two ways of processing Locations. You can either use a "lookup" against mapping services (Bing or Azure) or plot them using latitude and Longitude. Both of these mechanisms have benefits and issues. It is essential to understand the differences so that you can choose the correct option for your analysis. In this video, we step briefly away from New York to better appreciate the differences and so why options have been used across the Single Pane of Glass of our report pack.
