On October 4, the Supreme Court pulled up the Punjab government for not completing the construction of its part of the SYL canal. SC asked the Centre to survey the land allocated for the project in that state to assess the work progress. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar welcomed the Supreme Court's observations. Today Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called an emergency cabinet meeting.
