Eyewitness video released on Wednesday (September 18) showed the moment an explosion went off in a building in Lebanon’s Qennarit, roughly 51 km (32 miles) southwest of the capital Beirut, as hand-held radios used by armed group Hezbollah detonated across the country’s south. Reuters was able to confirm the location of the video from a minaret shaped tower and exterior characteristics of nearby buildings, solar panels fixtures, and vegetation surrounding the area that match to satellite image. Reuters was not able to independently verify the date when the video was filmed. Lebanon's health ministry said 20 people were killed and more than 450 injured on Wednesday in Beirut's suburbs and the Bekaa Valley, while the death toll from explosions involving pagers used by Hezbollah on Tuesday (September 17) rose to 12, including two children, with nearly 3,000 injured. Israeli officials have not commented on the blasts, but security sources said Israel's spy agency Mossad was responsible.
