whereas the left-hand rendition of the genshin main theme was pretty much a direct transcription (albeit transposed), i present a complete metamorphosis of the source material in this study. the general melodic contour was kept intact, while most modulations were shifted by quite a bit. there was no main inspiration for this rendition; ideas were taken from rachmaninoff, debussy, bortkiewicz, and likely many other composers. transposed to d-flat major (a tritone away from the original), this is a study of the three-hand effect in the midst of dense double note passages in both hands. this study is far more challenging than the left-hand alone study (even if it does not sound that hard); it requires a decent amount of awkward maneuvering in both hands, especially in the LH, for a clean, soft legato across single and double notes throughout. the dynamics are also subdued as well, but this is juxtaposed against the density of the passages: the performer must subtly "shade in" the lines indicated at low dynamics. this is the second out of (probably) three studies i will write on this theme. sheets link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SWzG... --- all fingerings are mine.
