Change Sponsor Best Practices

Sponsorship has been the top contributor to change success in all of Prosci’s Best Practices in Change Management reports since 1998. But a sponsor isn't a buzz word, they are a human being - https://bit.ly/2HMwc7t Transcript: To Sponsor and Your Sponsor are different things. To Sponsor is a verb. It is an anonymous verb. Your Sponsor is a noun. To Sponsor, again, is an anonymous verb, and it's to increase change, results and outcomes by fulfilling the roles of actively and visibly participating throughout building coalitions, communicating directly. For two decades, the Prosci research has helped us better understand and articulate and demystify and make less nebulous what it means to sponsor change. But to sponsor is still an anonymous verb. Your sponsor is a human being. Your Sponsor is a person. Think about that change you're working on right now, it's keeping you up at night. It's the one you're struggling with. To Sponsor is the anonymous verb. Your sponsor is Jeff and Brian, and Alex, and Marianne, and Andrew, and Tim, and Nikita, and Richard, and Deb, and Donna, and Christo, and Warren, and Simon, and Claire. That's what I mean by your sponsors being a human being. And I think too often we think about sponsorship from the anonymous verb "To Sponsor" instead of thinking about Christo and Donna and Deb and Alex and Brian and Jeff.
