I Use This Build To DESTROY Grandmasters, Raids, and Dungeons!

This is the Threadrunner (Strand Hunter) build I use to Solo GMs/Dungeons and for GM Helps! DIM Loadout: https://dim.gg/nhtajaa/Cyrtarachne's-...) Timestamps: 0:00 - Introduction 1:02 - Cyrtarachne's Facade 1:57 - Subclass Setup (Aspects) 3:53 - Subclass Setup (Fragments) 7:01 - Mod Suggestions 8:52 - Weapon Suggestions and Champion Counters 11:01 - Gameplay Loop My Information: Twitter:   / all_the_players   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/AllThePlaye... Discord:   / discord   I’ve recently been posting a couple of Solo GM speedrun videos where I’ve been using Strand Hunter, and on some of the notoriously difficult GMs, such as Lightblade, I’ve been able to do them in a relatively quick time. I got a 20 minute Lightblade clear, and for this season it’s the quickest solo run of Lightblade. Obviously other setups like Arc Hunter or Banner of War Titan allow for quicker solo clears, but they are significantly more risky than a Strand Hunter setup, and the gameplay loop of the Strand Hunter isn’t influenced by other members of your fireteam killing enemies, meaning this setup is equally as good in a fireteam setting as it is solo. In the background of this video you’ll be seeing a Solo GM Lightblade using this build, so you know I’m not joking when I say it’s good in that form of aspirational content - and if it’s good in a GM, it’ll be good for people doing mechanic based encounters in Raids, as well as Solo Legend and Master Lost sectors. The core of this build is based on Cyrtarachne’s Facade, which is the Strand Hunter helmet introduced in Season 20. From what I’ve been seeing, most people who use Strand Hunter prior to this season would use Sixth Coyote for double ensnaring slams, however with the suspend nerf, there’s almost no reason to use a suspension build on strand anymore. As a result of this, Cyrtarachne’s Facade comes into the spotlight. For aspects, Widows Silk is basically a must. Widows Silk grants you an additional grapple charge, and when you grapple at the end point of the grapple there will be a grapple point - and if you’re unaware, grappling to a grapple point does not actually consume your grapple charge (you can probably see where we’re going with this one). The second aspect is personal preference, I would say between Threaded Specter and Whirling Maelstrom. I’m a huge advocate for Whirling Maelstrom in GMs - however when I run this build on stream I do get a decent number of people asking why I opt for the beyblades over the decoy, and my reasoning is that the I rarely find myself in a situation where the decoy would save my life, and theadlings don’t really do that much damage on their own. The beyblades, however, act as a grapple point so I can use them for that (if needed), and also deal passive damage to enemies and I find in GMs that that passive damage, especially against champions, to be very useful. I’m going to be a advocate for NOT running Ensnaring Snam, I don’t like that aspect especially in higher tier content - the only thing I would be using that for is to stun unstops mid super, and that’s so much more niche than just running the decoy or beyblades. I’m team Whirling Maelstrom, but I understand the people who prefer the decoy. Now for fragments, and I think fragments are where this begins to get a bit interesting. The four fragments I recommend are Transmutation, Generation, Warding, and Ascent but Binding is not bad either. Now what weapons would you pair with this? Well realistically - anything works - just make sure you curate it to the activity you’re doing. I chose Quicksilver Storm as my exotic, but on Heist Battleground Moon, I chose Wish-Ender. The thing to keep in mind here is that with transmutation, any weapon can create tangles. For non-GMs, or for us risky players out there, a 1-2p shotgun is insanely fun with this. In terms of Champion Counters, you’re forced into running the artifact mods when using this build. Obviously Wish-Ender is Anti-Barrier, but that’s really it. Strand does have intrinsic Unstoppable with suspend but we’re not using that, however it also has intrinsic Anti-Barrier with Unraveling Rounds - which is where something like Propagation comes into play if you’re using Quicksilver Storm. Champion Counters is the one downside of this build, so keep that in mind when using this. #destiny2 #destiny #strand
