The Corsa C had clunking steering when we bought it. It had an advisory from its last MOT of a worn tie rod, but it was the rack that had worn. Specifically the shaft bush on the left hand side. Here is how we replaced the bush without removing the steering rack from the car. The GM part number for the kit is 93190161.
