The dish consists of a base described variously as a custard, soufflé or mousse made from a protein ( chicken, fish or beef ) vegetable and curry spices that is traditionally served in a banana leaf. Coconut milk may or may not be added to the custard to help thicken it depending on the region. Homok is associated with marriage because the Thai people believe that the marriage of ingredients within the homok is representative of the love of a married couple. In this recipe I am making chicken homok instead of the usual fish homok and it is just as delicious. Try it and you will know what I mean. Ingredients 450g diced chicken 2 tbsp red curry paste 1/4 cup thick coconut milk 5 shallots sliced 8 cloves of garlic sliced 5 kaffir lime leaves very finely shredded 2 fresh red chillies 1tbsp fish sauce 2 tsp brown sugar 1 big egg or 2 medium ones 1 teasp salt 1/2 cup thick coconut milk + 1 tsp cornflour ( boil & stir until thicken ) for topping For the method please watch the video. Thanks
