NATIONALES PERFORMANCE NETZ (NPN) - STEPPING OUT Documentary long

The NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETZ is a funding programme. Its aim is to promote the exchange and dissemination of contemporary dance and theatre within Germany and to create incentives for a stronger (inter)national rotation of existing and new productions. NEUSTART KULTUR NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETZ - STEPPING OUT The NEUSTART KULTUR programme of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media supported the maintenance of cultural life in Germany under the considerable restrictions and financial burdens in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The overall programme aimed to strengthen and adapt the cultural infrastructure in Germany as a basis for artistic work, as well as artistic production itself and the development of new programmes and projects. Overall, it was intended to help maintain cultural and artistic offerings and thus give people a sense of normality as well as the opportunity for social communication and intellectual exchange. NEUSTART KULTUR, which supplemented the corresponding measures of the federal states, was divided into individual sub-programmes that were developed taking into account the specific requirements of a sector or branch and in differentiation from other federal aid programmes. NPN-STEPPING OUT was part of Hilfsprogramm Tanz. With NPN-STEPPING OUT, non-theatrical, analogue and digital public spaces, as well as performative scene areas and fields of action for dance that have yet to be rethought or invented, were (re)opened up in order to expand the presentation channels for dance, which have been restricted by the pandemic, and thus enable artistic practice and engagement. The restructuring of works that were originally produced for the stage for performance in public and/or digital spaces was also supported. As part of the NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETZ, there are further funding programmes for which applications can still be submitted on the JOINT ADVENTURES website. NPN GUEST PERFORMANCE FUNDING FOR DANCE & THEATRE Guest performances of contemporary dance and theatre productions within Germany can be funded as part of the NPN Guest Performance Funding for Dance and the NPN Guest Performance Funding for Theatre. The NPN impulse funding for dance and theatre is intended to create new, cross-state collaborations that open up development potential in the above-mentioned areas and regions and enable new ‘tangents’ of cooperation. NPN CO-PRODUCTION FUNDING & NPN GUEST PERFORMANCE FUNDING FOR DANCE INTERNATIONAL The NPN Co-Production Funding for Dance and the NPN Guest Performance Funding for Dance International aim to strengthen the exchange between artists living in Germany and international organisers. The NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETZ is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the Ministries of Culture and the Arts of the following federal states: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
