If you want to really stand out with your time lapses then you need to change one simple setting, your shutterspeed. In this video I show you the difference between shooting at 1/2000th of a second all the way down to shooting 1" second frames for your time lapse. The golden rule is to try to follow the 180 rule of filming where your shutterspeed is half of the frame rate, but you have to change it a bit. If you shoot one photo every 1 second then the 180 rule of time lapse is that your shutterspeed should be half a second at least. Is your interval 4 seconds? Then aim for 2 second shutterspeed and so on. If you start implementing that one little trick I can promise you that you will see great results in no time.
