Rim to Rim to Rim Grand Canyon Fun

Ran (hiked) the Grand Canyon on 4/7/24, left South Kaibab trail head at 330am and arrived at the north rim at 10am, there was only water at Phantom Ranch and Manzanita. The North side still had 1/2 mile of snow to the top but there was no need for traction devices. It was 64 in the canyon floor but felt much hotter with the sun overhead. Had to go back up the South Kaibab as Bright Angel was closed due to them redoing the water line. Finished at 6pm which is what I wanted. I didn’t push it at all and ran the flats and power hiked the hills. Spent some time at Phantom Ranch on the way back to talk to the other hikers and have some sweet lemonade. It was my first time in the canyon and my first time going past 30miles. 43miles for the 43 year old guy. Do something hard, something that scares, something out of your comfort zone every year.
