Exploring Masasa Beach of Tingloy Island in Batangas with my brother was such a treat. We stayed overnight on the island and enjoyed snorkeling in the crystal clear waters while swimming alongside sea turtles and schools of fish. We also went island hopping and visited caves. Thanks to Mama Nady's Lodgings for taking good care of us. I will definitely be returning to this island off the coast of Anilao once I get a new underwater camera. I can't wait to be back. How to get there: 1. Cubao to Batangas City- Ride a bus to the Batangas City Grand Terminal. Ride takes about 3 hours. Bus Fare is P160. 2. Batangas City to Anilao Port- At the Grand Terminal, proceed to the Jeepney queue and ride one that will bring you to Anilao Port. Jeepney Fare is P37. Travel time is one hour. 3. Anilao Port to Tingloy Port- At the Anilao Port, look for the public boat that will take you to Tingloy Port. Boat ride takes about an hour. Boat Fare is P80. 4. Before boarding the boat, pay the environmental fees: -for Mabini P50 -for Tingloy P30 5. Tingloy Port to Masasa Beach- Proceed to the tricycle queue. Ride to Masasa Beach takes only 5 to 10 minutes. Fare is P60. 6. Masasa Beach Entrance to Mama Nady's Lodging- Text Mama Nady at 0956-1820733 or 0919-2903703 and tell her that you have arrived and she can ask someone to pick you up on a motorcycle. The leisurely walk from the entrance to Mama Nady's Lodging would probably take 20 minutes. Masasa beach has a lot to offer... very affordable... friendly and hospitable people. Masasa Beach boasts of a clean beach and crystal clear waters. Probably one of the clearest I have ever seen in all my travels in the country.
