My ZEAGLE Regulator First Stage "exploded" underwater on a solo dive to 185 ft. The regulator was working perfectly one moment and the next was a very loud explosion (the Go Pro does not capture the volume) an a ton of air was being lost. I switched over to an emergency back up tank (13 cu-ft pony bottle) and made my way to surface as fast as possible. When I surface, I find the boat is dragging fishing line and it is wrapped in the prop. Zeagle says these regulators are unservicable and should not be used because they do not supply any parts for the DS-IV First stage. Even if the dive shop SAYS they can service it, DON"T use this regulator. Had several discussion with Zeagle customer service and their experts.. They are refusing to tell their customers that these regulators should not be used - since there is not approved source for parts. Failure to use the correct parts can cause catastrophic failure of regulator. Zeagle eventually replaced the regulator with a new one. Please excuse the colorful language = NSFW.
