This spiny devil katydid certainly lived up to its name as a fearsome and awe-inspiring carnivorous insect! These large Orthopterans can be found in South America where they spend their nights methodically searching for food. They can and will take down any small animal they can overpower and feed on anything from other insects to lizards and other small vertebrates! How wild is that?
