Home Decorators Collection vs Trafficmaster Allure Flooring Review

I had the opportunity to lay some Home Decorators Collection flooring from Home Depot last week. Although I tried talking the homeowner into buyer Trafficmaster Allure, she insisted on this flooring. Here are tools you'll need before you begin to lay any type of luxury vinyl plank flooring: Tape Measure -- https://amzn.to/2PZghZ0 Speed Square -- https://amzn.to/2DZuEWS Utility Knife -- https://amzn.to/2r9nGpI Oscillating Tool (to cut door jambs) -- https://amzn.to/2DNQzz7 Special blade for Oscillating Tool to cut Jambs -- https://amzn.to/2TNyo29 Gloves -- https://amzn.to/2RhST5k Right away I ran into problems. This is a tongue and groove snap together type of laminate flooring. The tongue and grooves are really shallow and it was a challenge keeping the planks together. After doing two bathrooms, I came to the conclusion that I will start up-charging my customers who want to use this flooring in the future. It took much longer to lay this as the planks would come apart or the butt ends would come apart, causing me to have to stop, go back and put them together. Even after I finished both bathrooms, the flooring would move and the joints were separate slightly. Both myself and the homeowner were unhappy with Home Decorators Collection flooring from Home Depot. I would highly advise anyone thinking about buying luxury plank vinyl flooring to look at Trafficmaster Allure from Home Depot. You'll get more flooring per box, it glues together via grip strips, and you won't have to worry about the planks pulling apart. Plus, when I looked both flooring types up on Home Depot's website, the Allure was cheaper! Don't forget to 'Like' and 'Subscribe' below. Also, be sure and add this video to your Playlist!
