Single Layer AAA Rated Motorcycle Jeans 4 ways: Comparing Spidi, John Doe, RaceRed, and PMJ

Long video so see below for jumps to specific categories - background, fit, comfort, armors, materials, summary. I try a lot of gear, and have been cycling through jeans and similar pants to try and find the "perfect" one for me. Riding in hot weather, I really like single layer pants for maximum airflow without a hot reinforcement liner. These are 4 pairs I find interesting, including a couple of pairs I'm keeping for the long haul. I've ridden in all of them to some degree on various bikes, so this is all first hand testing. Pairs tested: Spidi J-Dyneema Evo, PMJ Deux, Racered Raptor, John Doe Defender Monolayer.
